According to programmes and notes written by the founder, the late Jack Rainbird, the choir started in 1977 as a quartet formed to sing a few carols at a Christmas concert, organised to raise funds to renovate the Old Church house in Ormskirk.  From that small beginning the choir now has 36 singers.

Rehearsals are held every Monday evening at Edge Hill University from 8-0pm till 10-0pm.
