Michael is originally from London and was 11 years old when his interest in music first started to develop. He began learning to play the piano and later trained at the Royal college of Music where he won the 1st year organ scholar prize. He has always worked in the world of music taking on many varied roles such as accompanying amateur dramatic groups, giving piano lessons, working in churches as organist and choir master. He is a very talented pianist and has a very wide range of musical knowledge and interests. He has been the organist at Ormskirk Parish Church and is currently organist at St Luke’s, Orrell. He became accompanist to the Occasional Singers in 2002. And is currently our Musical Director.
